sustainability

Designed for spaces. Engineered for sustainability.

Committed to responsible materials, circular design principles, and environmentally conscious manufacturing.

Our acoustic panels are made using PET materials, with up to 75% recycled PET content.

By giving plastic materials a second life, Ekous helps reduce reliance on virgin materials while transforming recycled content into practical, functional, and design-led acoustic solutions.

PET acoustic panels are lightweight, durable, and versatile, making them suitable for a wide range of applications including walls, ceilings, baffles, dividers, and customised interior features.

Designed for long-term impact

Creating durable acoustic solutions through responsible materials, thoughtful design, and a commitment to a more sustainable built environment.

Designed for Better Spaces and a Better Future

At Ekous, sustainability is part of how we design, produce, and deliver acoustic solutions.

We believe that better interiors should not only look good and sound good, but also support healthier, more responsible environments. Through the use of recycled PET materials, certified products, efficient production methods, and long-lasting acoustic solutions, we aim to help create spaces that are better for people and better for the planet.

Supporting Healthier Indoor Environments

Sustainability is not only about materials. It is also about how people experience a space.

Good acoustics can improve comfort, communication, focus, and overall wellbeing. By reducing excessive noise and improving the sound environment, Ekous products help create interiors that are more comfortable for workplaces, schools, hospitality spaces, public areas, and commercial environments.
Our products are designed to support healthier indoor spaces through acoustic comfort, responsible material selection, and relevant product certifications.

Design with Less Waste

We work closely with project teams to optimise material usage during design, production, and installation.

Through careful drawing study, panel planning, CNC cutting, prefabrication, and project coordination, we aim to minimise unnecessary wastage while improving efficiency on site.

Where possible, we encourage practical design solutions that make better use of material sizes, reduce excessive cutting, and support smoother installation.

Supporting Green Building Goals

Ekous products can support projects that are working towards better environmental and indoor quality standards.

Our acoustic solutions are commonly used in commercial interiors, offices, education spaces, hospitality projects, and public buildings where acoustic comfort, responsible materials, and green building requirements are important considerations.

We support project teams with the relevant technical documents, certificates, product data, and acoustic information needed for submission and specification.

Our Commitment

Sustainability is a continuous journey.

At Ekous, we are committed to improving our products, processes, and project support so that we can continue to deliver acoustic solutions that are practical, design-friendly, and environmentally responsible.

By combining recycled materials, acoustic performance, thoughtful design, and proper technical support, we aim to create interiors that are quieter, healthier, and more sustainable.

Ekous — sustainable acoustic solutions for better spaces.

Built to last

A sustainable product should be made to last. Ekous acoustic solutions are designed to be durable, practical, and suitable for long-term use in interior environments. Our panels can be applied in many different forms, from simple wall cladding to custom-designed ceiling features, allowing acoustic treatment to be integrated into a space without compromising the design. By creating products that are functional, adaptable, and long-lasting, we help reduce the need for frequent replacement and unnecessary material waste.

Ekous Panels at Boston Consulting Group KL, that withstood the test of time

In 2017, Ekous installed custom geometric acoustic wall panels at the Boston Consulting Group Kuala Lumpur office. When we revisited the space in 2025, the panels remained remarkably well preserved, with their colours, form and overall appearance largely unchanged after years of daily use.

The project reflects our commitment to creating acoustic solutions that are built to last, delivering long-term performance, lasting visual appeal and a more sustainable alternative through reduced replacement.
