The client required the acoustic products to meet a specified NRC performance while minimising construction work on site. At the same time, the solution needed to complement the distinctive interior design rather than appear as a purely functional acoustic treatment. Ekous used Textura, our grooved Panels, customising the panel thickness and technical configuration to achieve the required NRC performance while complementing the distinctive interior design.
The grooved surface added texture and visual depth, allowing the acoustic treatment to become part of the overall design language rather than appear purely functional. Most components were prefabricated and labelled off site, enabling faster, cleaner installation with minimal on-site modification.
The result was a highly coordinated acoustic solution that combined sound absorption, precision detailing and installation efficiency while preserving the character of the space.
